(Wiston Salem, NC) -- A 3 vehicle accident occurred at 0354 hours on I-40W, west of the 421 split, resulting in the death of one person.
As a result of the accident, all westbound lanes of travel of Interstate 40 were routed onto US Hwy 421 North. Detour for all I-40 westbound traffic was routed to Lewisville-Clemmons Road.
UPDATE (07:57am) - Forsyth County DOT officials say roads should be open by 9am.
Salisbury Dispatch Highway Patrol confirms a motorcyclist was involved in the crash.
