Burlington, NC-- Police said a juvenile is recovering from minor injuries after being assaulted by a burglar when the family returned home Sunday.
Police in Burlington said a family returned to their Crouse Lane home just after 3pm and found a man inside taking items. During the confrontation, police said the suspect assaulted the a member of the family, a juvenile, before running out the door.
The suspect did take some items as he was leaving, according to police.
Update: On Tuesday, July 24 Burlington Police identified one suspect and said there could be another one.
Police said they are looking for Jamarious Kadaviondre King of Reidsville as one suspect in the break-in. King is facing charges of: Breaking and Entering, Injury to Real Property and Assault on a Child.
Detectives believe a second suspect who is a juvenile may have been involved with the crime.
The investigation is continuing.
