(High Point, NC) -- Sheriff BJ Barnes confirmed that on Thursday, July 19, 2012, The Guilford County Sheriff's Office assisted the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigations and the Department of Homeland Security in a North Carolina Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) investigation at a residence on Westfield St, in High Point.
Officers conducted a "knock and talk" at the residence and interviewed the homeowner, David Marc Rich. During the interview, Rich admitted to possessing child pornography and informed officers that he is currently employed with Westchester County Day School as a High School History teacher. Officers conducted a search of Rich's laptop and located multiple images depicting child pornography.
Today, Rich turned himself into the Guilford County Sheriff's Office and was charged with 10 counts of Second Degree Sexual Exploitation of a Minor. Mr. Rich received a $50,000 secured bond and is currently incarcerated in the Guilford County Jail.
