(Burlington, NC)  --  On July 24, 2012 at 0401 hrs, Officers were dispatched to a residence on Preston St. in reference to a 1st degree Burglary.

Upon Officers arrival they were met by the home owner, Veronica Tapp, black female, 40 years of age. Tapp explained that she and her boyfriend were awakened by two unknown black males entering the side door of the home.

Once inside, the suspects demanded money and property from the occupants, took Tapp's pocketbook and left the scene.

The suspects were described as:
- Black male, 5'7-5'10, thin build, wearing camouflaged shorts dark colored t-shirt, armed with a semiautomatic handgun.
- Black male, 5'7-5/10, thin build, wearing blue jeans dark colored shirt, armed with an unknown handgun.

Both parties were wearing coverings over their faces and were believed to be in their early to mid 20's.

An undetermined amount of property / money was taken from the residence. There were no reported injuries during the incident.
