Winston-Salem Police Officers responded to a report of a traffic accident on Deacon Boulevard near the intersection with Shorefair Drive.
When officers arrived, they located the single vehicle accident involving a tractor trailer owned by Mason & Mefford Trucking. The vehicle trailer had collapsed in the middle, disabling the vehicle. The driver, Bob Burton, was not injured.
Before the vehicle can be removed the cargo will have to be off loaded onto another trailer. Both westbound lanes of Deacon Boulevard are closed until further notice. It is unknown how long the lanes will be closed. Motorists are strongly encouraged to avoid this area if possible.
