Triad -- It seems that every summer afternoon brings the chance of storms. If you're ready for a little break, you might just catch one on Sunday. It will feature the lowest rain chance in the extended forecast.
A stationary boundary is in place over the state right now. As the name implies, a stationary boundary doesn't tend to make much progress. It will continue to give us the chance of a few storms across the Triad this evening. The better chance lies off to the East and along the coast.
Any storms that do fire this evening will die down overnight. Sunday morning will bring another warm and muggy start with lows in the upper 60s. The rest of Sunday looks pretty good. Highs will be close to 90, so it will be warm. The best news is that if you have Sunday afternoon plans, you might just escape dry. The rain chance is only about 10%.
On Monday, the rain chance goes back up to 40%. The afternoon and evening chance will be back in the forecast for the whole week ahead. Highs will hover close to 90 each day.
