Browns Summit, NC - The Triad's semi-pro soccer club, the Carolina Dynamo, defeated Orlando City U23's soccer team 2-1 in the PDL National Semi-Final game on Saturday night.

Orlando's Nicolas Russo scored the first goal of the night in the 24th minute to make it 1-0 Orlando.

The Dynamo responded just ten minutes later.  Carolina's Daniel Lovitz (Elon) got the assist to UNC Charlotte's Donnie Smith for the goal to tie the match 1-1.

In the 42nd minute of the first half, High Point's own Shawn Sloan put the Dynamo ahead 2-1 with his line-drive goal to the center of the net.

The Dynamo will play FC London on Saturday, August 4th at Macpherson Stadium in Browns Summit for the National Championship at 7 PM.
