Man Shot While Riding Down Road In Greensboro

(Greensboro, NC)  --  On July 31, 2012 at approximately 1:36 am, Officers responded to Tuscaloosa Street and Martin Luther King Jr Drive in reference to a discharge of firearm call.

When they arrived, officers located the victim, Nicholas Macklin, who was suffering from a non life threatening gun shot wound.

Mr. Macklin stated that he and friends were driving in a vehicle on Andrews Street when the vehicle they were driving in was fired at by unknown persons. Macklin and his friends then ran from the vehicle onto Martin Luther King Jr Drive where they flagged down the first officer they saw. At this point, Mr. Macklin realized he was the victim of a gun shot.

Mr. Macklin was transported to the hospital via EMS for treatment.

There were no other injuries in this incident.
