Greensboro, NC--- Firefighters are on the scene of a fire at a recycling facility in Greensboro.

All roads are open, but Police had closed several roads near the scene.

Karl Robe with ReCommunty Recycling released this statement about the fire: 8 a.m. today a city truck hauling recyclables delivered a load with a fire contained in the material to ReCommunity Recycling. This material caused a fire at the facility. No one was injured and the facility remains open, fully operational and accepting all material.

"Our professional staff is prepared and trained to effectively manage these types of situations in conjunction with city agencies, and therefore we were able to contain the fire," ReCommunity's Jerry White says. "Even if the Greensboro facility would shut down for an extended period of time-which in this case it is not necessary-ReCommunity has contingency plans to ensure we meet all of our commitments to our community partners."
