Greensboro -- Authorities in Greensboro are no longer investigating a reported attempted kidnapping. Greensboro Police were called to a home in the area of McKnight Mill Road Friday on reports of an attempted kidnapping of a juvenile. Police say the person who called police did everything right in this situation but after more than 24 hours on the case, GPD says the allegations made by the juvenile were false.
Police asked for the public's help Friday in locating the suspect. Police are no longer looking for this man and say he is not a suspect, and is not facing any charges.
As for the juvenile, police say the detectives, the juvenile's family and a juvenile court counselor will meet to see if any charges or consequences are needed in this case.
In North Carolina, a juvenile is someone who is under 16 years old.
