High Point, NC-- A call about a suspicious person inside the Bank of America call center building on Piedmont Parkway in High Point kept officers busy for hours.

Friday night, Capt. Stroud confirmed to WFMY News 2 that the report turned out to be false. He said one person was arrested outside the building related to the false report and other calls he made to 911.

According to Capt. Stroud, a man who has a spouse working at the building called 911 from outside and mentioned something about suicide. Police were sent on that call to talk with the individual.

While on the way, the man's wife called 911 saying she received a text from her husband that said a naked man was inside with hostages. That call prompted another investigation, Stroud said.

Additional officers were called and they had to treat the hostage situations as credible until they were able to rule it out.

The man who made the calls about suicide and sent his wife the text message was taken into custody by police. Capt. Stroud said he won't be charged criminally, but will be taken for a mental evaluation.
