Usually seen in the greener pastures of the All England Club and Queen's Club, Pippa Middleton made her way to the U.S. Open on Monday to take in matches featuring Novak Djokovic and Maria Sharapova. It's likely she'll be back for more competition later this week, as her player's badge indicates she's a guest of Roger Federer, who didn't play on Tuesday.
Pippa watched a three-set thriller between world No. 1 Victoria Azarenka and defending champion Sam Stosur that included a 75-minute rain delay, then dealt with another lengthy rain break before Sharapova took the court. At least she brightened the drab New York day with a lovely, block dress with Kate Spade bag.
Then again, Pippa comes from London and all of a sudden we have our first true washout of the Open? All seems a little too convenient, doesn't it?
In this picture, Pippa's guest, described in British press as "dark-haired Spencer Vegosen - a Harvard graduate and accomplished tennis player," shows how many ounces of hair gel he uses every morning.
Neil Harman of The Times reports Pippa spent part of her day on a public tour of the media facilities.
