New York-- The match between Serena Williams and Victoria Azarenka was all that and then some, with Williams winning after a third set.

Two points from defeat, Serena Williams suddenly regained her composure to come back to win the last four games and beat No. 1-ranked Victoria Azarenka 6-2, 2-6, 7-5 on Sunday for her fourth U.S. Open title and 15th Grand Slam title overall.

Williams improved to 26 wins and just one loss since a first-round exit at the French Open in late May, winning Wimbledon and the London Olympics.

It was the first three-set women's final in New York since 1995, and Williams came through with a late charge.

Williams is the first woman to win Wimbledon and the U.S. Open in the same season since she did it a decade ago.

The men's final: Novak Djokovic against Andy Murray is scheduled for Monday at 4:00 pm  on WFMY News 2/CBS.
