(Greensboro, NC) - Kossi Elikplimi Lougou is confined in the Guilford County Jail without bond after Greensboro police arrested him in connection with seven robberies that occurred this weekend and late Monday night.

Shortly after midnight Tuesday, a patrol officer observed a van matching a description provided by one of the victims in the vicinity of Market Street and English Street. After initiating a traffic stop, the officer gained enough probable cause to arrest Lougou for his alleged involvement in the robberies of individuals that occurred late Monday night on Boulevard Street, College Road, Northridge Street, and South Mendenhall Street.

Interviews of additional victims earlier today provided sufficient evidence to connect Lougou with three robberies that occurred on Saturday, September 8; one on Walker Avenue, one on Mendenhall Street, and another on Spring Garden Street in the vicinity of Elam Avenue.

Lougou, 25, of Rehobeth Church Road, is charged with possession of stolen goods, carrying a concealed weapon, possession of a firearm by a felon, six counts of robbery with a dangerous weapon, and six counts of assault by pointing a gun. Additional charges are pending.

Police believe Lougou had an accomplice, and are asking anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers at 336-373-1000, or by texting 274637 (CRIMES) with the keyword badboyz. Calls and texts are anonymous and confidential, and can result in a cash reward.
