Greensboro, NC -- Saturday, September 15th twelve members of the WFMY family will run in the 3rd Annual Run 4 The Greenway in downtown Greensboro.
The Run 4 the Greenway is an event to raise awareness and funds for the ongoing construction of Greensboro's Downtown Greenway.
The race features a 1-mile walk/run beginning at 3:00 pm and an 8k run beginning at 4:45 pm starting at Center City Park in Greensboro.
Online registration is closed for the race, but runners can still sign up from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm at Off 'N Running Sports on Lawdale Dr. on Friday. You can also register from 3-4:30 pm on Saturday at Center City Park prior to the race.
The cost for the 8k race is $35 and the cost for the 1-mile race is $10.
WFMY has formed three teams of four that will compete in Saturday's 8k event. Team members include WFMY's Reporter Liz Crawford, Reporter Lauren Melvin, Meteorologist Grant Gilmore, Photographer Brett Silva, Producer Tayler Overschmidt and others.
