ATLANTA - US Marshalls said they have arrested 52-year-old Floyd Palmer in a morning shooting at World Changers International Church.
Palmer was arrested hours after the shooting at Macy's at Lenox Square. Police went through his home in Atlanta looking for evidence.
11Alive News has learned that Palmer has a police record in Maryland. Palmer pleaded guilty to a count of assault and carrying a handgun in January 2004. He was also charged with the use of a handgun in the commission of a crime and attempted murder in connection with that incident in a Baltimore court.
Palmer, a former church employee is accused of killing one person when he opened fire inside the church on Wednesday morning. The victim was an employee of the church and that person's name has not yet been released.
The church is headed up by Pastor Creflo Dollar.
