Burlington, NC -- A 53-year-old pedestrian was airlifted to a hospital Friday night after a car accident in Burlington, police say.
Officers responded to the corner of Rauhut and Hatch Streets at 7 p.m. When they arrived, they found the victim, Carlton Crutchfield, had been hit by a car.
Investigators determined Micah Jasper, 28, was driving a 1999 Chrysler on Rauhut Street. Crutchfield was walking across Rauhut without yielding to oncoming traffic when Jasper hit him with his car.
A helicopter crew transported Crutchfield to UNC Hospitals.
Jasper was not injured.
