Greensboro, NC -- WFMY News 2 and the American Red Cross have partnered for the 48th annual Holiday Blood Drive, and we need your help.
The event fills a need each year when blood donations are low during the winter months, according to Melanie McDonough of the Red Cross.
The event starts at 7 a.m. on Tuesday Dec. 11 and runs until 7 p.m.
It's being held at the Greensboro Coliseum Special Events Center.
Our goal is to receive 540 pints of blood.
One pint not only helps up to three people celebrate another holiday, but it could also give them a second chance at life.
Check out the video above to watch McDonough explain the need for blood donations in the Triad.
See you there!
