Greensboro -- Students at Murphey Traditional Academy tested "the perfect formula" for holiday gifts.
Third-grade students surveyed their classmates by what items they picked while on a holiday shopping trip and analyzed the results, showing how math can be used in real life.
Students conducting the project compared what their male and female classmates chose to buy between toys and clothes.
The students presented their findings to family, friends and News 2 on Wednesday.
