Arcadia, NC - A husband and wife were found dead in their Davidson County home Tuesday afternoon.
The Davidson County Sheriff's Office responded to a home on Sunset Rd. after a family member went to check on them.
Ray Woosley received a call from his granddaughter's daycare saying the 3-year-old was absent. The Lexington Dispatch is reporting Woosley walked across the street to his daughter and son-in-law's home and found his granddaughter watching TV. She told her grandfather that her "mom and dad are asleep."
In a news release investigators said the found the bodies of Shane and Emily Benbow in a room used for an office. Both died from gunshots.
The three year-old child was found unharm still inside house and is staying with other family members, detectives said.
Sheriff Grice said the incident is domestic related.
