Winston Salem, NC-- Firefighters said a fire on Tuesday killed two dogs and a bird.
Firefighters were dispatched around 1:11pm to a house on Union Cross Road in Winston-Salem. After arriving on the scene, crews reported seeing smoke and fire coming from the house.
The homeowner told fire investigators that two dogs and a bird were already dead inside the house.
Investigators said the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
Damage to the house is estimated at: $450,000 for contents and structure.
