Madison County, NC - Two inmates from a Madison County Detention facility escaped Wednesday night.
Jonathan Brian Motte and Joseph Emmanuel Norton scaled a security fence around 7:50 pm before running away, according to the sheriff's office. Deputies have issued warrants for the two men for Escape From A County Confinement Facility.
Motte, 24-years-old from Marshall, was arrested on March 20, 2012. He was charged with Larceny Of A Motor Vehicle, four counts of Breaking And Entering, four counts of Larceny After Breaking And Entering and Injury To Personal Property. He was being held on a $75,000 bond.
Norton, 20-years-old from Marshall, was arrested on January 17, 2013. He was charged with two counts of Breaking And Entering Of A Motor Vehicle, Breaking And Entering, two counts of Larceny After Breaking And Entering, two counts of Possession Of A Firearm By A Convicted Felon and two counts of Larceny Of A Firearm.
