Burger King's Twitter account was hijacked Monday.
Hackers swapped out profile pictures and the account name with "McDonalds" before sending out a string of tweets.
According to Mashable's screen shot of the hacked account, hackers claimed @BurgerKing had been sold to McDonalds and made remarks about Burger King employees using drugs while at work.
Burger King's Twitter account was suspended around 1 pm.
Mashable reported the company gained 5,000 new followers in the first 30 minutes after the hackers took control of the account.
