Greensboro, NC -- Police in Greensboro were called to a home early Thursday morning after a woman caused injury to herself and another person with a knife during an altercation.
When police arrived at the home on Van Wert St. after 1 am they found the victim with a laceration on his face. The man told police that he and the woman, Viola Carty, had an altercation.
According to police, Carty grabbed a knife from the kitchen and struck the man in the face. Afterwards she turned the knife on herself and received a non-life threatening injury.
The man was treated on the scene by EMS. Carty was taken to Moses Cone Hospital for treatment.
Police charged Carty with Assault With A Deadly Weapon.
