Thursday, the Department of Defense announced that a Greensboro soldier who was injured last week has died.
According to a news release, Spc. David T. Proctor, 26, of Greensboro, NC, died on Wednesday March 13 while at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, MD.
The Department of Defense said Proctor sustained non-combat injuries during an incident on March 3 in Kandahar Province, Afghanistan.
Proctor was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 7th Infantry Regiment, 1st Armor Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division of the US Army in Fort Stewart, GA.
