Asheboro, NC -- The Asheboro Police Department is investigating a double-car crash that killed a one-year-old girl and a man.
Investigators said the crash happened on Hub Morris Road Wednesday after a van driven by Joseph Preston Cresie III ran off the right side of the road. The car traveled off-road for 98 feet before returning and crossing the center line, hitting a Jeep.
Cresie was thrown from the van and died as a result of his injuries. Crystal Hoyle Hayden, the driver of the car that was hit, was injured but later released from Randolph Hospital. However one-year-old Farrah Hayden died Thursday.
