Greensboro--A few peeks of sun are beginning to break through the clouds over the Piedmont. Although it will not completely clear, we will see a mix of sun and clouds for the rest of the day.
Some tropical moisture remains over the area and a little heating will cause a few showers and thunderstorms to develop this afternoon.
Outdoor plans should be a "go" just keep an eye on the sky for approaching thunderstorms and listen out for rumbles of thunder.
The atmosphere over the Piedmont will dry out a bit Sunday and Sunday night. Only a 30% chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms is expected on Sunday afternoon.
the chance of showers will be on the increase by Monday and Monday night with a approach of a cold front.
High temperatures will reach the low 80's this afternoon with the mid 80's expected on Monday and Tuesday.
