Randolph County, NC -- The Randolph County Sheriff's Office says two people arrested in connection with a church break-in on Tuesday could be connected with another crime.
Investigators said they received a report of a church break-in Tuesday morning at Amity Hills Baptist Church on US Hwy 64 West in Asheboro. Deputies found out two people broke into the outbuilding at the church. They also received the suspects' descriptions along with their vehicle information. Deputies later found the minivan on Hwy 64 West with stolen property and burglary tools inside the vehicle.
Dan Edward Ray Tucker, 31, and Deloris Jane Alvarez, 54, were charged with Breaking & Entering, Felony Larceny, Possession of Stolen Goods, Possession of Burglary Tools, and Resist Obstruct or Delay an Officer.
Both are also under investigation for a second break in that occurred in Staley on the same morning.
