The remains found on Highway 158 in Caswell County are those of a Virginia woman who has been missing for over three years.
Patty Jo Pulley disappeared in may of 19-99, after she left her Ringgold home to go shopping in Danville.
A state employee found the remains Wednesday afternoon near a bridge on Highway 158 near the Person County line.
Pulley's husband, who has since moved from Ringgold, was considered a suspect in the case when Pulley was reported missing.
