Guilford County, NC - Paper - check!  Notebooks - check!  But don't forget to have your child vaccinated before they head back to school.

Charles Eurillow, a school nurse for Guilford County Schools joined us on the Good Morning Show to remind incoming 6th grade students and their parents not to wait until the last minute to get their Tdap shots.

The Tdap (tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis) vaccine is required by state law for all children entering the 6th grade.  Students have 30 days to get their shots and the appropriate forms to their school administrator or face out-of-school suspension.

For more information about Tdap, the special clinics or any childhood immunization, contact your local health department.

In Guilford County the Department of Public Health number is 641-7777.
