Randolph County, NC -- Coach. Hero. Magician. Whatever you call him, Coach Phil Caudle has turned things around at Providence Grove High School.
The school has only been open since 2008. But in the past three years, the soccer team had not won a single match -- not one. Then, with the new school year came a new coach. Now, the team is on the winning track.
Coach Caudle said he doesn't take credit for the turnaround. He said his players have always been talented, but needed to learn to work and play together.
After getting a handle on their team unity, the team is currently ranker third in their conference. This season they've celebrated their first home field win, scored more goals in two games than they have in two years, posted their first ever conference win, and hit many other milestones.
