Triad, NC -- Biscuit-lovers in the Triad had an extra opportunity to satisfy their craving while supporting local schools.
Selected Biscuitville locations partnered with PTAs and other school organizations for the second annual "Breakfast After Dark" fundraising event, at which Biscuitville donated 10 percent of sales generated during the event to the organizations.
Breakfast After Dark took place from 5-8pm, when Biscuitville restaurants are ordinarily closed.
Customers who visited Biscuitville during the special evening hours on October 4th were able to direct their donation for their purchase to the organization of their choice by dropped their receipt into a box designated to that group.
Kathy Niven, Marketing Director for Biscuitville, said of the event, "We had 15 home runs last night. So we think it was a lot fun and a big success. We've gotten flooded with comments from parents and students saying they loved it and had a great time seeing friends. Our most successful locations were Huffman Mill Rd in Burlington, Wendover in G'boro and Asheboro and Eden. They all did more in 3 hours than we normally do on a regular 9 hour day."
All totalled, school organizations in 13 cities and towns served by Biscuitville restaurants participated in the Breakfast After Dark fundraising event.
