Greensboro, NC-- When you hear news about CEOs and upper management, it's usually about profits, bonuses and pay raises.
Rarely, do you see or hear a story about the head of a company, and in this case, a school system, turning down a raise.
The Superintendent of Guilford County Schools, turned down his raise and this isn't the first time.
At Tuesday night's board meeting, Maurice "Mo" Green turned down his guaranteed 3% raise. According to school officials, Green's contract specifies a yearly increase.
Green has done the same thing for the past 3 three years, turned it down. This makes a fourth year in a row that he has refused to take a pay raise.
Green has been with GCS since 2008 and earns 250,000 dollars a year.
