Greensboro, NC-- Thanks to the kindness of a generous stranger students at several elementary schools in Guilford County have new books.

Guilford County Schools officials said an anonymous person donated 7,000 books to them.

Wednesday, students from Dudley High School helped organize, sort and box the books. The books were then distributed to Washington Montessori School, Hampton, Falkener and Peck Elementary schools.

Dudley students, who participated, even took time to read to students to stress the importance of literacy.
