Greensboro, NC -- It wasn't your typical school assembly. Kid started screaming as soon as Diggy Simmons walked in the door. Simmons told the sixth grade students, "I'm excited to be here, I'm definitely excited to be here."
Wednesday morning, teen sensation Simmons surprised students at Kiser Middle School. The visit was hosted by the 102 Jamz Wild Out Wake Up show to talk with the students about bullying.
Diggy Simmons said if there was one thing he wanted students to take away from his visit, it would be, "Be somebody that is just a, just a great person, you know, somebody that is great to be around and somebody who is looking forward to doing the right things."
Sixth grader Torre Stokes said he enjoyed Simmons visit. "He talked about how its not right to be bullied and if you see someone being bullied you should help the other person."
Simmons is a rapper, and the son of rap legend Rev Run of RunDMC.
