Cleveland, OH -- Rockers and rappers from the MTV Generation will be represented at this year's Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony in Cleveland.
Axl Rose won't be there.
The frontman for Guns N' Roses, a hard-rocking, hard-partying band that attained massive success amid endless dysfunction, is skipping the ceremony at Public Hall in protest, ending any chance for a reunion of the original G N' R lineup. Several of the band's members will attend, but it's not yet known if they'll perform.
Guns N' Roses, the Beastie Boys and the Red Hot Chili Peppers, formed in the 1980s when video reshaped the music industry, headline this year's eclectic class. They'll be enshrined with `60s folk icon Donovan, late singer-songwriter Laura Nyro and British bands the Small Faces and The Faces.
