Undated -- Bobby Vee says he was diagnosed with a mild stage of Alzheimer's disease a year ago. He writes on his web site he chose to keep it private so he could create memories for his grandchildren and "celebrate life's goodness." As if that wasn't bad enough: Karen, his wife of 48 years, is awaiting a lung transplant. Vee says when things got rough, he and his family drove from Minnesota to Arizona to make music he intends to release soon. Vee's hits include "Take Good Care of My Baby," "Run To Him" and "The Night Has A Thousand Eyes."
