The series will show how family members are grappling with the death of Whitney, focusing on Pat Houston, the singer's sister-in-law and manager. Pat is also helping care for Whitney's only child, 19-year-old Bobbi Kristina. The series will feature Whitney's mother, singer Cissy Houston, as well as cousin Dionne Warwick and gospel vocalist CeCe Winans.
"I have been working with Simmons-Shelley over the past few years developing a project suitable for myself and our family," Pat said, according to The Hollywood Reporter. "The unexpected passing of Whitney certainly affects the direction of the show. However, it is my hope that others will be enlightened as they watch our family heal and move forward."
