Los Angeles, CA -- It's not as odd as the supermodel and the nerdy guy kissing in that Super Bowl ad, but it's close. Katie Couric tells Jimmy Kimmel on his talk show that she once went on a date with Larry King, who's 23 years older than she is. It happened about a quarter century ago.
Couric says they went out to dinner and afterward she thought King was driving her home, but he took her to his place instead. Once inside, Couric says King "lunged" at her. She says she started laughing because "the whole situation was out of a bad Lifetime movie." King first told Kimmel about the date in 2009, but in his version he took Couric home and was prevented from going up to her apartment by her roommate.
