Columbia, SC -- James Brown's family won't be getting as much money from his estate as they thought they would. The South Carolina Supreme Court overturned a settlement dividing the multimillion-dollar estate, saying it went against Brown's wishes. Brown had wanted most of his money to go to charity. The settlement gave half the estate to a charitable trust, a quarter to his widow and left the rest to be split among his adult children. The estate has been sent back to a lower court to be reconsidered.
