Greensboro, NC-- Depending on when you go, customers in Greensboro may find the doors locked at their neighborhood post office.
The US Postal Service in Greensboro told WFMY News 2 that all local offices will be changing their hours of operation.
The new hours will start on Monday, September the 22nd. Post offices have been asked to post the new hours so customers will get familiar with them.
Many of them in the Greensboro area will go to a 9:00am to 5:00pm schedule.

Carl Walton, a Public Information Officer, with the US Postal Service said with all the do it yourself services they now provide within the post office and online, it just made business sense to change hours.
It is also a cost cutting measure that post offices across the country have been asked to look at.
The US Postal Service reported a month ago that they lost $2 billion dollars last year.
