Undated -- Record voting has left many NC voters with long waits in a line with complete strangers.
Here are eight ways to pass the time and stay entertained:
1) Read a book - Pick up the dusty book on your bookshelf that you have been waiting to read for years.
2) Listen to some music - Take you mp3 player or even your walkman and jam out to some relaxing jazz.
3) Listen to the community gossip - Poll lines are the perfect place to find out who's dog walked through Mrs. Jones flower garden.
4) Pray - Take the time to speak with your spiritual leader.
5) Knit a scarf for the winter - Grab some yarn and knitting needle to create a winter fashion accessory.
6) Eat dinner - Especially if you are going after work, pick up a nose-friendly food to pass the time (stay away from the tuna for everyone else's sake!).
7) Try to find a date - Polls could be the perfect place to find someone that shares your same passions in life.
8) Network with others - Find out what the people in line around you do for a living and take extra business cards.
