Vance County, NC -- Friends of former Wake Forest basketball star Rodney Rogers tell WRAL News in Raleigh he could face partial paralysis following an ATV crash.
It happened Friday afternoon in Vance County, North of Raleigh. Rogers friends say doctors list him in serious condition.
Rogers played for the Deacons from 1990-1993. He left school after his junior season to apply for the NBA draft. The Denver Nuggets took him in the first round. Over a 12-season career, he played for seven teams. He also earned honors for being the best sixth-man in the NBA in the middle of his career. He retired in 2005.
Rogers grew up in Durham and often returned for family visits.
