
Undated -- The King of Pop is having a clear out and putting his famous glittery glove under the hammer.
At an April auction featuring more than 2,000 personal items, Michael Jackson is set to sell his American Music Award for 'Thriller,' a velvet cape given to him by his children for Father's Day in 1998, a pair of rhinestone-trimmed socks from 1981, a basketball signed by Michael Jordan and his own original artwork.
The 50-year-old singer is parting with his platinum and gold records, a customized Harley Davidson and a Rolls Royce limousine.
Jackson is also unloading the grandiose gates that once led to his Neverland Ranch and a horse drawn carriage, complete with CD system, speakers and lights.
The five-day sale was announced in December by Julien's Auctions, but the full extent of the items available wasn't known until Tuesday, when the auction house released images of the lots.
Items Include:
1. A black and red modern horse drawn carriage labeled on brass plaque "Custom Built by Montana Carriage Company" and inset with a Montana Statehood Centennial Coin. With CD system, speakers and lights, custom painted with "Neverland Valley" on both sides. The item is among many owned by Michael Jackson and being auctioned on the Auction Network on April 22- 25. A public exhibition of the items will be held at The Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills from April 14- 21. Estimate: $8,000 - $10,000.
2. A 2001 Harley Davidson Touring Motorcycle outfitted as a police bike complete with lights in the driveway of Michael Jackson's Neverland Ranch in Santa Maria, Calif. Julien's Auction estimate: $6,000 - $8,000.
3. The gates to Michael Jackson's Neverland Ranch in Santa Maria, Calif. The gates feature parcel gilt and black iron, crested with a red and gilded crown and a gilded "Michael Jackson," banner with British Coat of Arms in the center. Julien's Auction estimate: $20,000 - $30,000.
4. A full length red velvet cape with detachable faux ermine collar with gold rope trim, gold metal cross brooch with faux cabachon gems, lined in blue metallic satin with "Dennis Tompkins Michael Bush" label. Interior of the cape is embroidered "To ofather King Michael Father's Day June 21, 1998 from your loving children Prince Michael, Princess Paris Neverland U.S.A." Estimate: $300 - $500.
5. A basketball inscribed to Michael Jackson from basketball star Michael Jordan. Julien's Auction estimate: $800 - $1,200.
6. An original painting on stretched canvas featuring popular culture and historic figures all wearing Jackson's icnoic sunglasses and glove. The item is among many owned by Michael Jackson and being auctioned on the Auction Network on April 22- 25. A public exhibition of the items will be held at The Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills from April 14- 21. Auction Estimate: $400 - $600.
7. "Prince, The Boy King", oil on linen, depicting a sleeping Prince Michael on a throne with attendants, signed lower left. David Nordahl (American, B. 1941) Auction Estimate: $3,000 - $5,000. The item is among many owned by Michael Jackson and being auctioned on the Auction Network on April 22- 25. A public exhibition of the items will be held at The Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills from April 14- 21.
8. An oil on canvas portrait of Michael Jackson dressed as king, signed and dated 1995 by Norman Oak (American, B. 20th Century,) housed in an elaborate gold frame. Julien's Auction estimate: $4,000 - $6,000.
9. A 1984 American Music Award won by singer Michael Jackson for Favorite Album Soul "Thriller." Julien's Auction estimate: $4,000 - $6,000.
10. Michael Jackson's custom designed white spandex, right-hand glove completely covered in clear Swarovski crystal loch rosen crystals. Julien's Auction estimate: $10,000 - $15,000.
11. A Fantasy Entertainment, Portrait Studio, black and white photo booth machine with four portrait options sharp pencil, soft pencil, charcoal, pen & ink. Auction Estimate: $2,000 - $3,000.
