Greensboro, NC -- People took to the streets of downtown Greensboro Friday to raise awareness about Multiple Sclerosis.

All of the participants wore orange shirts.

Some walked and others ran through downtown.

One group even rode stationary bikes as part of the MS awareness day.

Organizers want everyone to take action to help eliminate MS.

One girl sold lemonade in honor of her mother who suffers from the disease.

More than 400,000 Americans suffer from Multiple Sclerosis.

The disease interrupts the flow of information from the brain to the body and stops people from moving.

Most people are diagnosed with the disease between ages 20 and 50.

It affects more than twice as many women as men.
