Greensboro, NC -- The North Carolina Board of Govenors is holding a special session Friday at North Carolina A&T.
The agenda says they are set to discuss a "single personnel item".
Speculation around when NC A&T will announce a new Chancellor is high since former Chancellor Stanley Battle's resignation in February.
Battle's resignation is effective June 30, 3009.
The Greensboro News & Record reports a source close to the process indicated former WSSU chancellor Harold Martin will take the position.
Martin holds a Bachelors and Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from NC A&T and a Ph.D. from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. He was the vice chancellor of academic affairs for the NC A&T from 1994 to 1999.
