Sheriff: 123 Mature Marijuana Plants Seized From Graham Home

Graham, NC -- Deputies arrested a man after they allegedly found a large indoor growing operation in his home.

Deputies went to Crissy Lane in Graham on Tuesday to issue a search warrant. After searching the home and outbuildings, investigators found three separate indoor marijuana growing operations.

Deputies seized 123 mature marijuana plants weighing about 8,250 grams. The also seized five guns, $5,000 in cash, 5 doses of Xanax and other drug paraphernalia.

Charles Spencer Whisnant, 37, is charged with:

-- 1 count Trafficking Marijuana by Manufacture

-- 1 count Trafficking Marijuana by Possession

-- 1 count PWISD Marijuana

-- 1 count Manufacture Marijuana

-- 1 count PWIMSD Schedule IV CS

-- 1 count Maintain Veh/Place Dwell CS

-- 1 count Possess Drug Paraphernalia

Whisnant was taken to the Alamance County Jail and placed under a $17,000 bond.
