Greensboro, NC -- A local landmark is about to make its debut on the cover of a national comic book.

The Jefferson Standard Building, formerly the Jefferson-Pilot Building, will be on the cover of an upcoming variant comic.

A variant is a limited edition alternate cover to a comic and on this variant, "G-Man" is fighting the Acme Bat above the building. This cover is a homage to the first ever cross-over comic with Spider-Man and Superman.

The upcoming Image Comics' G-Man: Cape Crisis #2 will be sold only at Acme Comics in Greensboro during a signing and comic sale.

They will only have 1,000 of these comics on sale Saturday, October 24.

Appearing during the event will be G-Man's creator, as well as the cover's artist, Chris Giarrusso. He'll be accompanied by creators Art Baltazar, Jacob Chabot, Brian Smith, and Gregg Schigiel, all of whom have back-up comic strips in G-Man #2.

Each creator will be signing G-Man and other book that's they've worked on, doing original sketches, and informing the public about their work.

Again, the event is Saturday, October 24 from 10am - 7pm at Acme Comics on Lawndale Drive in Greensboro.
