Greensboro, NC - The cold, rainy weather we're getting in the Piedmont is perfect for one thing; cleaning!

So even though it may not feel like spring outside, take advantage of it and start organizing.  Stephanie Marshall, the owner of In The Clear Organizing offered these helpful tips.

Marshall says make a check list. "Have a plan in place or else you're going to get off track and go in 20 different places."  Sit down, make out your plan and attack it from there.

"The biggest thing is to have fun," said Marshall. "Everybody dreads spring cleaning. Find a way to make it fun." So how do you do it?  Turn on the music and get the kids involved by offering rewards.  Or time it by making it a game/race.

Third, go room by room and attack the task on a daily basis. "Start out on a Monday with the kitchen, that's always the worst part. Don't get distracted with closets and then go on to the next room. You really want to stay focused because once you get that done you'll be inspired to do more."

Reserve a week on your schedule to get your spring cleaning done, but don't stress out about it.
