Greensboro, NC -- Your child might be stressed out, and you don't even know it. Larry Lam with Youth Villages says they get stress from school, activities and even at home if they internalize some of the stress their parents are feeling.
He says sleep is a big indicator. If your child is sleeping more or less than normal; is waking in the middle of the night; or is groggy during the day, that could be a sign of stress.
Lam says keep the line of communication open. Reassure your child that his worries are valid, and then help him develop a plan to deal with the stress.
Lam talked more about stress strategies with Rosemary Plybon on Friday's Good Morning Show. Watch the video to learn more.
